What do I need to know before booking a Referee Course?

Modified on Mon, 21 Oct at 1:12 PM

You can find the dates of our upcoming Referee Courses HERE.

All learners must book on to the course using their own FAN number and details.

All learners (and parents/guardians of under 18 learners) must also read the 'Course Guide' linked HERE.

All learners must have completed the ‘Online Guide to the Laws of the Game’. This is a compulsory requirement of the FA Referee Course and is free of charge. In order to access the course you will need to log in with an existing FA account or create a new account. Please ensure that the information on the account is accurate to the learner. The course can be found HERE.

The 'Safeguarding for All' qualification is a minimum requirement. However, we recommend if you are over 16 you also complete the 'Safeguarding Children' courseBoth courses are available HERE.

If you plan on officiating in youth football (and you are aged 16+) you will require an in date FA DBS. We will share how to do this once you have booked onto a course.
